# OG Peek Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

OG Peek is a Chrome extension that previews the current page's Open Graph metadata, including title, description, image, and URL.

## Data Processed

When you click the OG Peek extension icon, the extension reads metadata from the active browser tab. This may include:

- The current page URL
- The page title
- Open Graph and Twitter card metadata, such as title, description, image URL, site name, and image alt text

The extension only accesses this information after you interact with the extension by opening the popup.

## How Data Is Used

OG Peek uses this information only to display a preview inside the extension popup and to let you copy the current page URL.

## Data Storage

OG Peek does not store your browsing data, page content, metadata, or copied URLs.

## Data Sharing

OG Peek does not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.

## Remote Servers and Analytics

OG Peek does not send user data to any remote server. The extension does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry services.

## Permissions

OG Peek uses Chrome permissions only for its single purpose:

- `activeTab`: to access the current tab after you click the extension icon
- `scripting`: to read Open Graph metadata from the active page's DOM

These permissions are used only to display the metadata preview. OG Peek does not modify page content.
